Coronavirus Service Updates

May 14, 2021

In response to recent guidelines from the CDC and PA Department of Health, Penn East Federal Credit Union will no longer require members who are fully vaccinated to wear a face mask at our branches. Members who are not fully vaccinated will still need to continue to wear a face mask.

January 28, 2021

Penn East Federal Credit Union will be re-opening the Scranton, Davis Street, and Clarks Summit Offices on Monday, February 1, 2021 for walk-in services under the following guidelines:

  • Wear a mask to protect others
  • Wash your hands prior to entering the branch
  • If you’re not feeling well, please don’t enter the branch
  • Maintain a 6 feet distance between employees & members
  • We will be limiting the number of people in branch
  • Branch hours will resume as normal
  • Coin counters will be available as normal

December 11, 2020

The Penn East FCU lobbies at 7th Avenue, Davis Street, and Clarks Summit will be available for appointment only from December 14, 2020 through January 31, 2021. We will re-open the lobbies on February 1, 2021. The drive through at these locations will remain open.

The Wyoming County Offices at Tunkhannock and Factoryville will operate as usual.

These 24/7 services allow you to view account information, transfer funds, pay bills and apply for loans. You can even use our mobile app to deposit checks.

With the health & safety of both our members and employees in mind, Penn East Federal Credit Union will continue to follow the direction of Governor Tom Wolf and the National Center for Disease Control (CDC) to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. With Lackawanna County entering the Yellow Phase, we are opening the Scranton, Davis Street, and Clarks Summit Offices on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 for walk-in services under the following guidelines:

The Factoryville Office will be re-opening on June 1, 2020. Since the Factoryville Office does not have drive-through access, we will be serving members through the lobby. The lobby hours will be Monday – Thursday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Friday: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. When conducting business there, please comply by wearing a face cover and practicing social distancing to ensure that this location remains open. Thank you for your cooperation!

Due to Governor Wolf’s mandate, anyone entering the building to conduct business at any of our locations must be wearing a face cover.

Tunkhannock is currently our only location open without drive-through access and is serving members through the lobby. When conducting business there, please comply by wearing a face cover to ensure that this location can remain open to serve our members.

March 18, 2020 Penn East FCU COVID – 19 Update, Offices Accessible via the Drive-Through until Further Notice:

To protect the health of our staff, beginning Wednesday, March 18 at 12 noon, all of our offices will be accessible via the drive-through only with the exception of our Factoryville and Tunkhannock locations. Our Factoryville office will temporarily close; our Tunkhannock office will remain open while restricting the number of members we serve at a time. All locations will be operating with normal business hours. With these changes we are anticipating longer wait times, please consider visiting the credit union during non-peak hours. Thank you for your understanding.

Loan officers will be available via telephone and by appointment. We will perform all aspects of the application process over the telephone except the closing, which will be done by appointment only. To apply for a loan please call 570-342-2720 or apply online.
