Our New Card. Accepted Everywhere.

Penn East Visa® debit and credit cards are arriving in March. This guide is
designed to inform you of new changes and prepare you for the upcoming
transition to your new card.

Here’s What to Expect So Far

New Visa® debit and credit cards will be mailed during the second week of March. For security purposes, your card will arrive in a plain white envelope.

If you have not received your new card by March 27, 2026, please contact us and we can assist you.

Once you receive your new card, please complete the following steps:

  • Call the number provided to activate your card
  • Sign the back of the card
  • Destroy your old card

If you have merchants that automatically bill your existing card, be sure to contact them and provide your new Visa® card number.

No immediate action is needed. Once your new Visa® cards arrive, simply follow the activation instructions provided.

No. There is no cost or fee to receive your new Visa® card or cards.

Yes. After activating your new Visa® debit or credit card, add it to your mobile device’s digital wallet to continue making secure, contactless payments. Once your new Visa® card is added and active in your digital wallet, you will need to manually remove your old Mastercard from the wallet.

Yes. All authorized cardholders will receive a replacement Visa® card. Each card will be mailed to the address on file associated with that cardholder.

Your Mastercard® debit and credit cards will continue to work until you activate your new Visa® card. Once your new Visa® card is activated, your old Mastercard® will be automatically deactivated.

If you do not activate your new Visa® card right away, your Mastercard® will remain active until April 30, 2026. After that date, any remaining Mastercard® cards will be deactivated.

To avoid any interruption in card access, please activate your new Visa® card as soon as you receive it.

No. This change only affects members with debit and credit cards. Your routing number and any existing ACH payments will remain the same.

No. Nothing is changing for Penn East ATM Cards. They are not part of this transition and will not be reissued.

No. You will continue to receive a single monthly statement. During the transition month, your statement may include activity from both your Mastercard® and Visa® cards, but it will be presented together on one statement.

After the transition is complete, statements will continue as usual and will reflect Visa® branded card activity only.

If you have recently moved, please visit any Penn East FCU branch or contact us to update your address. This ensures your new cards are mailed to the correct location.

Please contact us before your trip, so we can help ensure uninterrupted card access during the transition.

Yes. Your new card will include tap-to-pay contactless technology, offering a faster and more secure checkout experience.

Yes. When activating your new Visa® card, you will be prompted to set a new personal identification number (PIN). You may choose the same PIN as your previous card, if preferred.

If your current card is set to expire in February, please contact us so we can accommodate you during the transition. If your card expires in March or later, you will automatically receive your new Visa® card at that time.

After activating your new Visa® debit or credit card, update your payment information with any merchants or services where your old card was stored. This includes online retailers, streaming subscriptions, and monthly billers to avoid payment interruptions.

Tip: Review your recent transaction history to identify recurring charges that may need updating.
